I need understanding. If a patient goes into a hospital and take dialysis for 28 days for 3 hours each days and has an apetite, able to have energy to shower and dress themselves, and do a little cardio and have their being. Why is it the same person can take dialysis one day for 4 and a half hour and have no energy, no apetite, unable to exercise , no being and unable to prepare their own meals, just able enough to get in the bed and go to the bathroom because the diarrhea is so severe. I think there is something wrong with this picture. I thought dialysis was suppose help the kidneys or take the place of kidney functioning not take the life of the person. There should be life not dealth. There has to be improvements made to the machines or the administration. I know that dealth will come, but is not dialysis for the purpose of substaining life, in spite of kidney failure? Help me to understand
