This maintenance event is needed to expand the Hub’s audit database. The Hub creates and propagates audit messages to the Hub Dashboard. These audit messages are stored in a database within the Hub, and that database needs to be expanded to support future growth. During the database expansion the propagation of audit messages from the Hub to the Hub Dashboard will be stopped. New audit messages created during the maintenance event will be queued, and all will be propagated to the Hub Dashboard once the maintenance is completed. There will be no impact to real-time transaction processing between Participants.
Note that we have deliberately scheduled this maintenance during a period of low transaction volume. This will result in a smaller queue of audit messages that will need to be propagated over to the Hub Dashboard once the maintenance is completed.
Scope:
These enhancements will be applied to the eHealth Exchange Hub PRODUCTION environment as outlined above.
Impact:
During the maintenance event there will be an interruption of audit message flow from the Hub to the Hub Dashboard. We expect the maintenance event to last two hours. Once maintenance is completed, we anticipate that the audit messages will “catch up” very quickly due to the low volume of transactions expected at that time (Sunday at noon ET). We do not anticipate any other service outages during deployment of these changes. Note that the Hub Dashboard WILL be available during the maintenance window.

eHealth Exchange staff will monitor administrator@ehealthexchange.org for 30 minutes after the maintenance is completed.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND REMINDERS:
The eHealth Exchange Hub team has implemented a recurring weekly scheduled maintenance window each Thursday evening at 9:00pm ET for all non-urgent events. The duration of each maintenance event will be determined by the respective changes for each event, and details will be communicated out to all Participants at least 48 hours prior to the event. If there are no changes for any given week then the maintenance event will not occur and no notice will be sent. Also please note that Operating System and similar updates that do not require a service outage, and do not require changes to the application layer, will be performed during this scheduled maintenance window without specific notice due to their frequent and routine nature.
