Description of changes:
In the VALIDATION environment:
Messaging:
Support will be added for the SAML Attribute type value of xsi:type=”xsi:anyType”. This behavior is currently required by the Carequality Implementer PointClickCare in order for the eHx Hub to successfully accept inbound messages from them. Specifically this enhancement will allow the Hub to accept inbound requests with SAML attributes that are either un-adorned, more specifically adorned (such as by using xsi:type=”s:string”), or using xsi:type=xsi:anyType.
Example: The below fragment is currently rejected. Post-change, it would be accepted:
<saml2:Attribute Name=”urn:nhin:names:saml:homeCommunityId”>
<saml2:AttributeValue xsi:type=”xsi:anyType”>
urn:oid:2.16.840.1.113883.3.6448.5.2117268264.4.11.1
</saml2:AttributeValue>
</saml2:Attribute>
One implication of this change, is that requests coming from that Carequality Implementer will now be passed-along to other eHealth Exchange Responding Gateways structured as above for SAML attributes.
Additional updates:
- We will be incorporating two adhoc software fix packs from Intersystems that address a number of internal optimizations, enhancements and pro-active security and defect remediation.
- Enhanced error logging for group query requests.
There will be a service outage in VALIDATION that will last up to 10 minutes.
In the PRODUCTION/LIVE environment
Enhancements will be deployed to the PRODUCTION environment to improve the ability to debug and trace group query requests and to ensure consistency of XSLT transform files across Hub router instances.
We do not anticipate a service outage in PRODUCTION.
Scope:
These enhancements will be applied to the eHealth Exchange Hub VALIDATION and PRODUCTION environments as outlined above.
Impact:
The eHealth Exchange does not anticipate a service interruption for these maintenance events.
Support:
eHealth Exchange staff will monitor administrator@ehealthexchange.org for 30 minutes after the maintenance is completed.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND REMINDERS:
The eHealth Exchange Hub team has implemented a recurring weekly scheduled maintenance window each Thursday evening at 9:00pm ET for all non-urgent events. The duration of each maintenance event will be determined by the respective changes for each event, and details will be communicated out to all Participants at least 48 hours prior to the event. If there are no changes for any given week then the maintenance event will not occur and no notice will be sent. Also please note that Operating System and similar updates that do not require a service outage, and do not require changes to the application layer, will be performed during this scheduled maintenance window without specific notice due to their frequent and routine nature.
